A short, honest walkthrough of the Early Access interface and its safety-first process guidance.

What you receive today

What it does

  • Lists running Windows processes with CPU and memory use.
  • Explains known processes in plain language.
  • Labels results as Generally Safe, Use Caution, or Critical.
  • Shows View Details before offering a process action.
  • Blocks critical Windows processes from being closed through the app.

Privacy

The Early Access release reads local Windows process information needed to display names, identifiers, resource use, and guidance. It does not include online accounts, advertising, analytics, or cloud uploads.

Activation is checked locally using a signed, device-bound license key.

Important limitations

Task Wizard is not antivirus or anti-malware software. Its labels are decision-support guidance, not a guarantee that a process is safe, unsafe, malicious, or always appropriate to stop. Unknown processes remain marked for caution.

The current installer is not code-signed. Windows may show an “Unknown Publisher” or SmartScreen message. We disclose this because customers deserve to know exactly what they are installing.
